PYROS
Printed on chiffon this image explores the intersection of queer desire and pyrosexuality, using smoke and movement as a metaphor to reflect the nature of queer longing—something powerful, unpredictable, and all-encompassing, much like smoke. Queer desire mimics pyrosexuality as both are combustible and engulfing, using a red light to further the passion of this. Standing in wet, uneven terrain, caught between control and surrender, mirroring the complexities of desire itself. Rather than a traditional depiction of intimacy, this image suggests a more abstract, sensory experience—one where heat, movement, and intensity define attraction in ways beyond the conventional. Exhibited at the Indra Gallery in London and published in Wonderland Magazine and The Wick.
